Reverend Velveteen managed to get through it because she only had the coolest job in the universe while living in the coolest town in the universe and hanging out with all the cool bands. FOOLS!! DO NOT RETURN TO THE 80's!!! Don't you realize that the 1980's were the new victorian era where you'd be lucky to catch a glimpse of wrist skin peeking out from a hot pink doleman sleeved sweater? Perhaps a peek of ankle from between double layered socks and poufy tight ankled pants? GAH! Oh sure, now it's all horizontal stripes and asymmetrical haircuts on the hipsters, but you'll see...oh yes you will...bit by bit the horrible bulky sweaters, popped collars, angular earrings, flourescent colors and BIG FUCKING HAIR will take over. Hell, Bad Sister already read an article in a well known hipster magazine stating that HYPER COLORS are coming back. You'll be sorry...very...VERY sorry.
